We have been preparing for the Csíki Jazz 2024 for some time now, and we are now announcing the Early Bird tickets offered at extremely favorable prices. At the same time, we are sharing some of this year's star guests' names: Ági Szalóki, Bea Palya, Trio Tálas Áron, László Dés, Miklós Lukács, Tony Lakatos and Ramona Horvaht, Alex Man and Gabriela Costa, Rymden. And by summer, things can only get better.
We are pleased to announce the participation of Ági Szalóki and Bea Palya among the artists of the Miercurea Ciuc jazz festival, which will take place from July 25 to 28, 2024.
Ági Szalóki is a Liszt Ferenc award-winning Hungarian artist and songwriter who will perform in Miercurea Ciuc alongside the well-known and beloved Bea Palya, who is also a Prima award winner and two-time Artisjus award-winning Hungarian folk singer and performer. They will perform with Trio Tálas Áron, part of the Hungarian jazz elite. Áron Tálas is an Artisjus and Gramofon award-winning artist and composer who plays multiple instruments excellently. We especially love his piano playing and beautiful compositions. We hope he will also play the drums during the festival, if not at other times, then during the jam session.
We are proud to welcome back László Dés to Csíki Jazz this year, one of Hungary's most outstanding composers and jazz musicians, who will come with his own band this time. Among the band members will be Miklós Lukács, whom we have long wanted to host in Miercurea Ciuc.
Among the Romanian performers, we highlight Alex Man, known for his jazz guitar skills, and the renowned singer Gabriela Costa, who will perform with him this year, bringing beautiful songs for this year's edition.
The list continues with international stars: Tony Lakatos will perform with his quartet. As member, we welcome Ramona Horvaht, renowned for her virtuoso piano playing. She currently lives in Paris and we hawe been in discussions for many years about performing at the festival.
And speaking of international stars: Rymden. This year, the jazz festival will host Rymden, who are justifiably recognized among the greatest Scandinavian jazz musicians. The band's members previously formed the legendary Swedish Esbjörn Svensson Trio, and now they are joined by sensational Norwegian pianist, Bugge Wesseltoft.
Moreover, the international lineup will include some interesting additions, including one new group about whom we can only reveal that, despite their youth, their name has become known not only in Europe but worldwide in just a few years.
This year's Csíki Jazz will also feature a wide range of styles: we highlight fusion jazz, free jazz, and electro jazz, while there will also be a combination of jazz and literature, jazz and hip-hop fusion, and even a mix of indie pop and jazz.
As always, the festival's venue and nearby attractions promise a lot for those coming from afar. It is recommended to plan your schedule to include local sights. Learn more here: www.visitharghita.com.
